art 6, First Friday and what's on the horizon

GREAT NEWS!!

We just had a meeting at art6 and it looks like we will be doing the necessary renovations to increase our capacity (and make the space better!) though it means we will be closed February and March (except for fundraisers on First Fridays) and reopen in April with a big HOOHAH!!!!!!

Watch this space for fundraising opportunities during First Friday events in February and March!

The current exhibit featuring artists David Turner and Alan Entin will be up through January 30th- we're open 12-4 Thursday through Sunday 12-4pm

Due to incredible effort and artistic endeavor by the all-volunteer run gallery that art 6 is-

WE WILL BE OPEN FIRST FRIDAY and the rest of the month!!

Update on pickup for the THINKsmall show

Work from the Think Small Show is available for pick-up, as scheduled, Sunday, Dec.20,2009 until 6pm.


Work that is not picked-up by then will be taken to ARTSPACE-
phone number 804- 232-6464 for pick-up Sunday Dec.27, 2009.

6-10 pm, tickets reserved by phone (343-1406) are $25 (pay at will-call) $30 at the door.
There will be donated platters from local restaurants, a free drink at each gallery, cash bar, and a chance to see the THINKsmall5 show before anyone else in Richmond.
It's also a fundraiser and we need the funds. Grants have been cut, fewer people can afford art, rent is up and revenue is down.

We need you. Please come and see the art, It will be a smaller crowd than First Friday and a lot of great art sells tonight, you'll miss your chance if you wait.

Every two years, THINKsmall happens! This year we have over 300 artists involved from Short Pump to Budapest.

Come support local art, we won't be here long if you don't!
